Shahrukh Khan’s late night birthday party halted by cops; Salman Khan suggested the film ‘Zero’ to SRK

Shahrukh Khan who turned a year older celebrated his birthday with family, close friends, and B-town celebrities. However, the curtain had to be drawn on the late-night bash after the Mumbai Police knocked the doors of the venue.

The Zero actor hosted a party for his close friends from Bollywood at a popular Mumbai restaurant named Arth in Bandra. The party was attended by Swara Bhasker, Nikhil Advani, music directors Ajay-Atul, Aanand L Rai and choreographers Bosco-Caeser, among others.

Restaurants usually don’t stay open till wee hours on a Friday in Mumbai. However, SRK’s party in Arth was going on till 3 am with loud music.

While the restaurant shut for the general public at 1 am, it remained open for a private party held by King Khan for his friends. The party went on until the Mumbai Police interrupted the celebration and asked the owners to shut the party.

Soon after the cops stopped the celebration, the party was cut-short and SRK was seen coming out with his friends Aanand L Rai and Nikhil Advani, among others.

The party was hosted after the launch of the trailer of his film, Zero. During the day King Khan had also greeted thousands of fans outside his residence at midnight and thanked them for their love and wishes.

Salman Khan suggested the film ‘Zero’ to Shahrukh Khan

While interacting with media at the trailer launch, Shahrukh Khan revealed that he came to know about Aanand L Rai’s film from his good friend Salman Khan.

Shah Rukh plays the role of a vertically-challenged person in the film, which is set to be released on December 21. “It’s not true that he (Rai) asked a lot of people… Salman had actually called me and said, ‘there’s this film, do it.’ The reason he came and did that song was because of this. He wanted to be a part of the film,” Shah Rukh said.

“Salman is a wonderful human being… For him to remember that a year later or months later when the film was actually being told to Katrina to come back and say ‘I want to be a part of this film because I’ve heard this film.’ It was very dignified, decent of him,” he added.

When asked about Deepika-Ranveer and then Priyanka-Nick getting married, SRK lovingly joked about the issue and said, “”It is good that everyone is getting married. What do I do? Begani Shaadi Mein Abdula Deewana. They are getting married so good and then they will have kids. I am already married, how can I get married again.”

However, he wished Deepika and Ranveer on their wedding later this month, saying he gets emotional when his co-stars settle down in their life. “When I came in the film industry I started acting with Sridevi ji, Madhuri (Dixit) ji. They got married. I have flowered as an actor and star because of the love these ladies have given me. The second generation got married and this is the third set who is getting married. I get really emotional when they get married. I called Deepika and I wanted to hug her, I told her be happy. My love to Deepika and Ranveer. We will be celebrating as and when they call. As a matter of fact both Deepika and Anushka made their acting debut with me. So it is special for me,” he said.

Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan might reunite for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next?

Rumors are rife that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is trying to rope in the Karan-Arjun of Bollywood, that is, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan for his next project.

According to a source quoted in Midday, “Salman and Shah Rukh will be reuniting on screen for a two-hero film that will be directed by Bhansali. A family drama about friend-turned-foes, the film will be along the lines of the Dilip Kumar-Raj Kumar starrer Saudagar (1991) and will see them share equal footage. The superstars have always been keen on doing a movie together and Bhansali’s film seemed to be the perfect opportunity. They have agreed to it in principle, but Bhansali might take as long as nine months to complete the final draft. If everything goes according to plan, the project may roll mid-next year.”

A source close to the director says, “He hasn’t started casting yet. He will approach stars only after he finalises his script.” Salman and Shah Rukh have previously worked together in Karan Arjun (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), apart from doing cameos in each other’s projects.
