The buzz is that Ranveer Singh will be trained by legend Kapil Dev himself for the upcoming biopic titled 83.
Ranveer Singh’s Zoya Akhtar directed Gully Boy is already grabbing the headlines post the trailer release and now the recently released song Apna Time Aayega is already winning hearts.
Looking at the response, expectations from the film has gone up amongst fans especially because of the unusual concept and the Indian rap fans.
Ranveer’s also recently released film, Simmba is topping the charts and is roaring at the box office.
While all this is happening, the Bollywood star has already started preps for his upcoming movie 83 based on legend Kapil Dev.
While it was said that Ranveer will be trained under Balwinder Singh Sandhu, recent reports suggest that infact Kapil Dev himself will train Ranveer.
According to a report in Bollywood Life, an informer revealed, “Ranveer’s cricket coaching will be with Balwinder Singh Sandhu – also a key member of the 1983 World Cup winning squad. While Sandhu and Ranveer will work rigorously to perfect the game, Ranveer will also train with the legend Kapil Dev! Kapil will coach him to perfect his iconic bowling action and Ranveer will work with him to pick up all his mannerisms on and off the field! We can’t wait to see them together hitting the nets!”
Ranveer Singh has already switched on his prep mode and started training for his character in Kapil Dev’s biopic along with filmmaker Kabir Khan.
Ranveer, as well as Kabir Khan, took to his Instagram handle to share a picture from his training location.
In the picture, Ranveer can be seen sporting batting pad and holding a bat in his hands while former Indian cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu apparently training him.
Captioning the pic, he wrote, ‘’#kapildev @83thefilm #balwindersinghsandhu @kabirkhankk.’’’ Kabir also shared the same pic and in the caption of the pic he wrote, ‘’Training begins… #83#kapildev @ranveersingh @83thefilm#balwindersinghsandhu.’’
Ranveer Singh also has Karan Johar’s Takht in the pipeline which also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
