Arshad Warsi, who plays Circuit in much-loved Munna Bhai film series, recently confirmed that the script of the third film in the franchise is ready and the movie will go on floors this year.
Last year, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani confirmed that they have cracked a subject and the scripting is underway.
He also revealed that they were supposed to start Munna Bhai 3 but he decided to go for Sanjay Dutt biopic instead.
Sanju, the movie turned out to be a big blockbuster at the box office.
Now, after almost 13 years of speculations, there is finally a confirmation about the movie.
Recently, Arshad Warsi, who is busy promoting his new movie Fraud Saiyaan was asked about the status on Munna Bhai 3 and he revealed that the script is locked and the movie will go on floors either mid-year or by the year-end.
He said, “I do know that the script is pretty much ready. I do know from Raju [Rajkumar Hirani] that the film will go on floors this year – either mid or the end of the year. The work on the script is going on. As of now, yes it’s Sanju and me. These are the things I’ve been told.”
Talking about his role he added, “I tend to do my film and forget about my character and I move on to the next one. I tend to forget, which is what happened with Munna Bhai. When I came for the second part, I was doing the same role differently. I realised something isn’t quite right. Then Raju and I saw a couple of scenes from the first one and remembered how I should be doing. This time too, I’m sure I’ll do it.”
