Ness Wadia’s lawyer claims Preity Zinta wants an apology from him to get media attention

The Bombay High Court has asked Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia to resolve the matter by Wadia apologizing to the actress.

TBT to the incident back in 2014 IPL when the businessman allegedly assaulted Preity Zinta.

She later lodged a complaint where she claimed Wadia abused and molested her by grabbing her arm while she tried to calm him down, who was hurling abuses at the team they jointly owned (Kings XI Punjab).

She lodged an FIR under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (using words, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).

The petition was recently heard by Justice Ranjit Moore and Bharti Dangre, who told both the parties to “Just finish it off now.”

Ness Wadia’s advocate Abad Ponda told the high court, “We want to bury the hatchet, but my client (Ness Wadia) is not ready to apologise. The complainant (Preity Zinta) wants to extract an apology and get media attention.”

Reportedly, Preity Zinta’slawyer told the Bombay High Court that the matter would be dropped if Wadia apologized to the actress. They have not insisted upon a written apology from the businessman.

The incident took place in 2014 at Wankhede stadium where Ness Wadia allegedly molested Preity by grabbing her arm and abusing her over ticket distribution.

In February this year, police filed a charge sheet in the case against Ness Wadia.

Wadia responded to the case by stating that the incident was a mere misunderstanding that arose out of personal vengeance.

Preity Zinta is currently married to American businessman Gene Goodenough and is gearing up for her upcoming film, Bhaiaji Superhit.
