Among the celebrities in attendance were comedian Jerry Sienfield and wife Jessica, Robert Downey Jr and pal Rob Lowe, Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden.
Jerry Sienfield and wife Jessica threw the married couple a rehearsal dinner on the previous day at his nearby Hamptons house.
Robert Downey Jr and Paltrow have been co-stars in the Iron Man films and hence his attendance was a must.
During the nuptials, Rob Lowe shared a sweet image with pal Downey Jr saying, “Nothing beats a great night with an old friend.” Alongside the image was written, “RDJ, I luv ya!”
Cameron is a close friend to Paltrow and according to a source, “Cameron was very excited about Gwyneth’s wedding. Gwyneth has been giving her updates and asking for advice during the planning. Cameron pulled off a private wedding even though the media found out about it before. Gwyneth wanted the same privacy.”
Of course, Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner was also on hand as she watched her daughter walk down the aisle.
Danner, 75, told photographers, “It was gorgeous — the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen.”
Director Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw also attended the private ceremony.
Paltrow’s ex-husband Chris Martin had to skin the wedding as he had a performance at N.Y.C.’s Global Citizen Festival.
Paltrow and Martin share 14-year-old daughter Apple and 12-year-old son Moses. Falchuck also has two children from a previous marriage, son Brody and daughter Isabella.
Paltrow who had eloped with ex-husband Chris Martin never had a traditional wedding before. Hence talking about the nuptials ceremony with Brad Falchuk she had shared earlier, “I’m excited about everything! I’ve never had a wedding before. So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21 year old.”
The actress revealed she had fun brainstorming with her best friends about planning her wedding.
“It’s kind of fun to talk about with my girlfriends,” she said. “They send me pictures of dresses — they’re as excited about it as I am. It’s pretty cute.”
