So what to do this summer?

Don’t hibernate, get out there and enjoy it!

There are many sunscreen formulations available which prevent UVA and UVB damage, whilst providing enhanced photo-protection with anti-oxidants and soothing and hydrating botanical extracts.

Today’s sophisticated formulas and technology not only prevents UVA & UVB damage to the skin, but let’s you select sun protection that works with your skin condition.

That means you can choose oil-free, mattifying formulas for oily skin, extra emollient formulas for dry skin, or chemical free formulas for sensitive skin.

It’s not enough to just apply a sunscreen: You must apply at least 30 mins before going out, apply enough, apply frequently.

Remember sun damage builds up over time!

How much: A teaspoon for the face. For the body, about as much as 2 tablespoons.

How often: Re-apply every two hours.

Tip: Protect your skin, especially between 10am – 4pm, when the UV radiation is at its strongest level.

Broad Spectrum

Protects skin from both UVA & UVB rays.

UVA penetrates deeper into the skin and is the major contributor to skin damage and wrinkles, whereas, UVB leads to sunburn and responsible for the immediate tanned look.

Exposure to UVA or UVB can contribute to the development of skin cancer – so it’s important to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for maximum protection.

Here, we help you with a list of products you can shop from.

SPF 15 or Higher

SPF15, is the lowest factor that should be applied to give relatively adequate protection, which blocks about 93% of UVB rays, an SPF 30 blocks about 97% and an SPF 50 blocks about 98% of UVB rays.

High SPF sunscreens such as SPF 75/100, mislead people into thinking they have more protection than they actually do.
