Before the wedding ceremonies begin, bride-to-be Deepika Padukone and her family conducted a small puja at their Bengaluru residence.
The actress can be seen wearing a tangerine sunset orange Sabyasachi salwar suit for the Nandi puja celebrations in Deepika Bengaluru home.
The pictures have been shared by Deepika’s stylist Sheetal Nathani who can also be seen sharing the picture with Deepi. Special mention needs are her earrings which take her look to another level.
As it’s already famously known, Sabyasachi is the designer who will design the diva’s special weddings trousseau. Now why is Nandi puja performed before a marriage?
It is integrally a part of Kannada culture to which Deepi belongs. A few days prior to the wedding, the Nandi ceremony is performed in both the bride and groom’s places.
It is basically a puja performed by the family priest to ensure that the wedding ceremony goes without any hitches or problems. A traditional copper pot or kalash filled with holy water is placed with a coconut on top, and this marks the beginning of the wedding celebrations.
The pot symbolizes a pot of Amrit or the Nectar of Life, and this ceremony ensures that the couple is blessed a life of abundance, health, wisdom, and longevity.
The first wedding invitation is presented to the Almighty during this ceremony so that he will bless the would-be couple with his presence and remove all obstacles from their life paths.

Well, both weddings have a number of functions and some of the country’s best-known designers are keen to dress up the bride and groom for the functions.
However, there is one name who is at the forefront. It is designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who apparently is being sought-after by both the Bollywood divas.
According to a source, “Deepika Padukone will be wearing Sabyasachi for the wedding rituals and he is equally delighted to dress her up for the big day. They share a warm relationship and she has been his perfect muse. Other designers like Anamika Khanna and Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla are also being considered for the other functions. Now, even Priyanka wants to be a Sabyasachi bride. Of course, it is a thing of great joy for him but he is worried as both the weddings are happening in quick succession. Also, there can’t be any duplication in any way as their wedding outfits will be under extreme scrutiny.”
