One of the most talked about movies from the South, K.G.F-Chapter 1 starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty has created the right kind of buzz ahead of its big screen release on December 21, 2018. K.G.F stands for Kolar Gold Fields, at the backdrop of which this Kannada action film is based.
The very first trailer of KGF which was unveiled a few days back had received an exceptional response from the audiences.
The film will be dubbed into Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The second trailer has been released by the makers and we must say that it is packed with high octane action sequences which will give you goosebumps.
KGF showcases the story of Rocky (Yash) who aims to win the world and conquer the bloodiest gold mine. KGF is a period drama that traces the history of gold mining and the mafia running it in the generous fields of Karnataka’s Kolar region.
The magnum opus traces the period of the glory of the gold mine and gives insights into the history of the mines located in Karnataka.
KGF seems like the quintessential rags-to-riches story in the crime world of India. Based in the ‘70s, the makers have explored the India, USA and Russia conflict which took place around that time and almost resulted in the 3rd world war.
The story emphasises on the rise of Gold prices at that time around the world and India being a major destination that possessed a significant amount of Gold due to the Koler Gold Fields in Karnataka.
From start to finish, the trailer a typical Amitabh Bachchan in Deewar kind of setting, which we have seen many times in different movies ever since Yash Chopra made Deewar.
A young boy who had nothing growing up, falls into the lap of the criminal world and rises to its top and yet is always left with some semblance of righteousness which helps him in maintaining his morality – in other words the anti-hero syndrome.
Starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Ananth Nag, John Kokken, Achyuth Rao in the lead, KGF is a Homabale Films production directed by Prashanth Neel, produced by Vijay Kiragandur WHILE Ravi Basrur has composed the music for KGF.
KGF would mark Excel Entertainment’s first Kannada venture and the production house is elated to be associated with a mega ambitious project as such.
The period drama traces the tenure of late 70s and will be made in two parts. The first of which will be titled KGF Chapter 1 which is slated to release on 21st December 2018.
The film will clash with superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’ which is helmed by Aanand L Rai. Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif play female leads in the movie.
